Bring your own basket! There is no food service in the monument, but picnic tables are available near the visitor center, at the Lava Flow parking area, and at the Painted Desert Vista picnic area on the way to Wupatki National Monument. There is a water-bottle fill station at the Sunset Crater visitor center.

Camping

There is no camping within Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, however Bonito Campground, which is operated by the US Forest Service, is located right across from the visitor center.

This campground is generally open from late May through mid-October. There are no hook-ups. For futher information contact the Coconino National Forest at 928-526-0866.
