
The Forge for Freedom is a public presentation that has used the life of John P. Parker to educate and inspire diverse audiences in Southwestern Ohio since 1994. The presentation content includes the following facets of this remarkable man’s life:
• What his early life in slavery was like
• How he worked to purchase his freedom How he became a foundry owner, an inventor, and the employer of an integrated work force
• The story of his work as a conductor on the Underground Railroad.
