This house burned in 1975, Henry and Dorothy Copeland's burial sites are being nominated. This cemetery site itself is significant as it contains the graves of other Quakers who were said to be associated with the UGRR. All were members of Rich Square Monthly Meeting in Rich Square, NC. On Henry Copeland's stone are the words: "The path of the Just is as the shining Light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day." And on his wife, Dorothy's stone: "She hath done all she could."
