Isaac Bailey's Gravesite - Oakhill Cemetery

Grave site of Isaac Bailey, Civil War veteran who escaped slavery from Essex County, VA in 1852. Isaac was assisted in his flight by Underground Railroad operatives through Ohio, Michigan and to Canada and freedom. Isaac fought in the Civil War in the 102nd US Colored Infantry Company A. He lived to be 105 years old.
