As part of the Eagle Festival at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge near Cambridge, MD, Underground Railroad historian Tony Cohen will lead a one-mile walk, sharing stories of Tubman as an outdoors woman. He will show how Tubman's abilities allowed her to slip through the woods without being seen or heard and lead many to freedom. This walk will be for adults and children 8 and older on Saturday, March 9. It begins at 2:30 p.m. at the Environmental Education Building on the refuge's Wildlife Dr. Please visit www.fws.gov/blackwater or call 410-228-2677 for more information.
