2012 NATIONAL UNDERGROUND RAILROAD NETWORK TO FREEDOM GRANTS
The National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Program (NTF) is pleased to announce that in collaboration with the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH),it will be offering grants ranging between $500 and $5,000. Funds can be used for preservation and restoration of buildings associated with the Underground Railroad (UGRR) and for interpretation and historical research related to Network to Freedom members. Network to Freedom sites, programs, and facility are eligible to apply.
Preference will be given to those who have not previously received Network to Freedom grants, to those with matching funds, to shovel-ready restoration of buildings, and to signage and interpretation projects.
Deadline for applications is April 30, 2012.
