  • Park Tour Road Closed Unitl 8 AM on Saturday October 4, 2014

    The park tour road and visitor center parking lots will be closed until 8 AM while permitted 5K & 10K races pass through the park. Portions of the Old Nashville Highway will be closed as well.


Native Grasses

Besides being one of the main components of the numerous communities in the park, plants are one of the key features of the cultural landscapes at Stones River National Battlefield.

National Park Service employees and researchers continue to search the park for new plant species while monitioring the health of plant communities to ensure these valuable resources are preserved for future generations.
