The Stones River

A Silent Witness
Navigated by explorer Uriah Stones in 1767, the Stones River runs nearly 150 miles before emptying into the Cumberland River in Nashville. The deadly struggle that brought the battle of Stones River to a close raged along these banks on January 2, 1863.
