Limestone Cedar Glades

Cedar glades are rocky, dry areas that a handful of special plants call home. You can only find many of these plants, like the Tennessee purple coneflower, in middle Tennessee glades. Thanks to colonies like those established in the park, the coneflower was removed from the federal list of endangered species in 2011.
