Due to our closure, our Traveling Trunk, called "Park in a Pack," will not be available until further notice. Please check back here for updates or email the Education Specialist.
For more information about "Park in a Pack" (an on-loan program for educators to use in the classroom), which is primarily about Ellis Island, please visit the Ellis Island Park in a Pack page.
Did You Know?
Ellis Island is not its own National Park site. It was added to the National Park system in May of 1965 by President Lyndon B. Johnson. It is part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument and was opened to the public as a museum of immigration in 1990.
