Bringing a class to the Statue of Liberty National Monument can be a fun, memorable and educational experience. Generally, program reservations are not necessary when bringing a school or organized group to the park. There is a requirement of 1 adult per 10 students while on the ferry system of in the park. Ticket stating "Monument Acess" are required to enter the monument and are available free from the ferry company with the purchase of a ferry ticket. Call 1-877-LADY-TIX (1-877-523-9849) or on-line at: www.statuecruises.com For Monument Access be sure to select order Reserved Ticket AND select the Monument Access option.

Ranger-guided tours of the island grounds are given free at scheduled intervals on a first-come, first-served basis. Schedules are posted at the information center on Liberty Island. 

Audio tours are available from the park's concessionaires for a nominal fee in English and several foreign languages. 

Leave ample time in your schedule to reach the park, ride the ferry system, go through security screening and enjoying the venue itself. Planning your schedule with these things in mind will provide for a memorable experience for all.

Did You Know?
Ellis Island is not its own National Park site. It was added to the National Park system in May of 1965 by President Lyndon B. Johnson. It is part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument and was opened to the public as a museum of immigration in 1990.
