Park Rangers and Volunteers present children's programs in Steamtown's Children's Discovery Center.  These programs are designed for children ages 5 to 10.

Our Children's Discovery Center offers two programs for children ages 5 to 10 featuring "hands-on" child-friendly learning and multimedia presentations.

Story Time includes books such as "Orphan Train," "A Lucky Dog," "The Prairie Train" and others. Railroad safety is also covered.

Working on the Railroad brings the jobs of the engineer, fireman, conductor and trainman to life. Railroad Safety is also covered.

These programs are offered on some Saturdays and Sundays. On days that the programs are offered, titles and times are posted at the Visitor Center Desk.

Due to space limitations, free tickets are required (available at the Visitor Center Desk).

This program is included in the Park Entrance Fee.

Parents must remain with children during the program.
