The Entrance to the Museum at Springfield Armory NHS
The Museum, containing early production machinery and the world's largest collection of historic American military firearms, is housed in the largest of the early 19th century arsenal buildings.

Commanding Officers & Superintendents
To the left of the entryway are images, in sequence, of the commanding officers and superintendents of the Armory from 1777 until the Armory closed in 1968. This exhibit was created by the US ARMY in the earlier 20th century.

Museum INFORMATION desk and Visitor Center
The Museum displays, to the right: industrial exhibits, the dioramas, and a brief display of Springfield Armory shoulder arms from 1795-1968; and, to the left: the theater, and detailed displays of Springfield Armory weapons and technology. The flag array displays flags of the US Armed Forces and the POW flag.
