On February 23, 2014, the installation of Bishop David as the Bishop of Sitka and All Alaska took place. Members of the Orthodox Church in America from all over the US and Canada attended, including the Metropolitan, bishops, priests and clergy. The investiture took place at the Russian Bishop's House, and the clergy processed to St. Michael's Cathedral for the instillation service.
