Summer Evening Program Series Kicks off with Defending the Homeland

SITKA NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK (July 17, 2014) - On Wednesday, July 23rd at 7:00 p.m. Sitka National Historical Park will be hosting a free evening program titled "Defending the Homeland" at the park’s visitor center. This hour-long program will focus both on the Battle of 1804 and the buildup of America's Pacific defense system in Sitka during World War II.
