Rangers at Sitka National Historical Park are looking for volunteers to help at the visitor center and at the Russian Bishop’s House as part of the National Park Service’s “Volunteers In Parks” program.

Volunteer duties may include staffing an information desk, answering phones, roving park trails to assist visitors, presenting interpretive talks, assisting with education programs, and helping with sales at the Alaska Geographic bookstore. This is a great opportunity to share the wonders of Sitka with visitors from around the world. An initial orientation period followed by a minimum time commitment of four hours per week is required. Volunteers will be provided with a National Park Service volunteer uniform. If interested, please contact Clarence Wadkins at (907) 747-0121 or e-mail us.
