  • Shiloh Battlefield Visitor Center to Close for Remodeling

    On October 27, Shiloh Battlefield's Visitor Center will close for remodeling. The work will take two to three weeks to complete. Visitors will be able to view the park movie and receive assistance from rangers in a tent erected next to the park bookstore. More »

Group Reservation
All groups are encouraged to contact the park 4 weeks prior to the planned visit and submit a group visit form.

School Groups
School groups wishing to visit the park should fill out the Educational Group Request Form 4 weeks prior to the planned visit. More information regarding a educational trip to the park is located on the For Teachers page.

Shiloh Veterans

Although Tennessee was a Confederate state, a Federal army at Shiloh was named the Army of the Tennessee. Union forces mostly named their armies after rivers. Confederates named their armies after geographical locations.
