Field Trips

Shenandoah National Park offers a variety of field trip opportunities. Educational groups can participate in a ranger-led or self-guided curriculum-based program or request an educational fee waiver to explore the park on their own. Shenandoah National Park has 431 rare plant populations representing 66 rare plant species. The highest concentration of these is in the park’s Big Meadows area
