SECOND ROUND OF PUBLIC MEETINGS HELD May 2, 3, and 4

The National Park Service held a series of public meetings on the General Management Plans under development for Virgin Islands National Park and Coral Reef National Monument.  The plans will provide the blueprint for each park’s long-term protection and management for the next 15-20 years! The purpose of the meetings was to solicit your input on the preliminary alternatives for the management of the two parks.

The comment period for providing input on the alternatives closed June 5, 2006. In the next few months, the GMP team will be gathering and assessing the comments received for consideration in revising the alternatives. Please check back to this web site periodically to get the latest information on the status of the plans.
