Public Involvement

Public involvement is critical to the success of the Chalmette GMP/DCP and there are many ways to be involved in the decision making process.

You may submit comments, concerns, or ideas about the Chalmette GMP/DCP directly to the planning team by using any of the methods listed below.


Written Comments
We are pleased to accept written comments in any form or format you wish to submit them. Handwritten responses on plain paper will be accepted as readily as computer generated responses printed on official letterhead.

If your ideas are highly detailed or complex, we recommend that you submit them in writing so they can be considered in their full context.

Public Meetings

Several public meetings will be held over the course of the project. Check on the Announcements Page of this web site for schedule and location information.

Newsletters
Several newsletters will be published during the project to help people stay informed about public meetings, discussions, draft alternatives, and other important information. Its easy to add your name to the mailing list for newsletters by providing your full mailing address to the park by telephone, U.S. mail, email, or in person the next time you visit the park. Current and past newsletters can be downloaded from the Newsletters Page of this web site.
