The Generals Highway "Road Between the Parks" is OPEN
The section of road between Lodgepole (Sequoia) and Grant Grove (Kings Canyon) will close with the first significant snowstorm after Jan. 6, 2014, and is expected to remain closed through Apr. 15, 2014. Call 559-565-3341 (press 1, 1) for 24-hour status.
Be Prepared! Tire Chains or Cables May Be Required in the Parks at Any Time

Join a ranger for a snowshoe walk through the winter woods on old fashioned wooden snowshoes provided. No snowshoe experience necessary.
Reservations required! Limit 18 participants. Contact Lodgepole Visitor Center at
559-565-4436. All participants should wear waterproof footwear and dress warmly.
Not recommended for children under the age of 10. (2 hours, 1 mile)
