Brief Description:
A Taste of Archaeology, written by an archeologist, is a compilation of more than 400 recipes. The book has the usual divisions of appetizers, beverages, soups, breads, pasta, eggs, vegetables and salads, poultry, meats, seafood, sauces/powders/spices desserts, and an appendix which provides hints on preparing, storing, and smoking meats and fish. However, the fare is diverse and unusual. There's a fiery hot lime soup from the Yucatan and a recipe for a sauerkraut chocolate cake drawn from the author's grandmother's kitchen. The book costs $14 which includes a $2 shipping fee.
