  • Salt River Bay NHP&EP Visitor Contact Station Closed for Season

    We are only open on Thursdays through the 6th of June 2013! 9AM-4:30PM From June 06-November 14, 2013 the Visitor Contact Station at Salt River Bay will be closed. It can be opened by appointment. Call 340-773-1460 for more information.

Donations to our park are used to fund a variety of projects involving Visitor Service, Interpretation, Exhibits, Publications, the management and protection of Christiansted NHS, Buck Island Reef National Monument, and Salt River Bay NHP & EP.

February 24, 1992 marked the establishment of the Salt River Bay NHP & Ecological Preserve. The park is a living museum where nature and history blend. It was set aside to preserve, protect, and tell the story of its rich contributions to the nation’s natural and cultural heritage.
