STILLWATER, NY: Come enjoy the 16th annual Frost Faire from 10:30am to 3pm on Saturday, January 22 at Saratoga National Historical Park, located on Routes 4 and 32 in Stillwater. 

PLEASE NOTE: due to weather forecasts for single-digit high temperatures and below-freezing wind chills (exposed skin can freeze in under one minute), Tour Road Stop 1 outdoor activities for the event have been cancelled.

Visitor Center activities will continue as planned!

Ongoing activities include contradancing, colonial handwriting demonstration, children's craft room including decorative tin piercing and copper embossing, Stillwater town historian's exhibit.    

  • Scheduled cannon firing demonstrations at 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 noon, 1 PM, 2 PM, and 3 PM.    
  • Scheduled musket firing demonstrations at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM.
  • 12 noon: Scavenger Hunt with special hidden prizes!

 1700s, a "Frost Faire" eased the effects of "cabin fever" with opportunities to visit friends and enjoy winter activities, refreshments and entertainment. Come out and carry on the tradition!

Did You Know?

Before Saratoga National Historical Park was a National Park Service site, it was a New York State historical preserve (1927-1938). The park's first visitor center was a reproduced blockhouse that reportedly contained boards from a local barn that existed during the Battles of Saratoga.
