Watch the orientation film ahead of time to get a sense of what's in it and assess any areas your students might have problems with.
Let students know that, as part of learning about the Battles of Saratoga, their class will be watching the official Saratoga National Historical Park orientation movie. Review/remind them of what "colonies" were, and let them know to expect the word "columns," explaining what those were.
Go over the worksheet with them, reviewing what the questions are, and explain to students they can work on the worksheets during the film, plus they will have a few extra minutes at the end to complete the worksheet. Adjust completion time as needed.

This video is all about the Battles of Saratoga, the reason the park is here.
In season, schools may arrange for free, self-guided tours of the battlefield, and for ranger-led education programs.
Schools able to visit the park may wish to purchase their own copy of the video and watch it as a pre-visit activity. Schools unable to visit the park will find the video to be an excellent resource for use in conjunction with the park's virtual tour.
As a pre- or post-visit activity, students could create their own orientation film on the Battles of Saratoga.
