A relatively flat, .75 mile paved loop trail takes you around the mission church and pueblo site. This trail is wheelchair accessible and benches are places about every tenth of a mile.
There are wheelchair accessible pit restrooms available at the site. Visitors may face difficulty with lighting and height of the toilet fixture.
There are multi language/braille brochures available both at Headquarters and the Abó visitor center.
Parking is sufficient to handle most vehicles. Oversized/overflow parking is located around the corner on the gravel road to the northwest of the visitor center. Note: High clearance vehicles may not clear the above powerlines.
Quarai
A relatively flat, .5 mile paved loop trail takes you around the mission church and pueblo site. This trail is wheelchair accessible and benches are places about every tenth of a mile. The one mile Spanish Corral Trail is a primitive trail and not accessible for people with mobility impairments. The trail climbs about 400 feet of elevation and surfaced with dirt, rock, and woodchips.
There are mobility impaired accessible restrooms available at the site equpped with large, accommodating stalls with proper handbars and fixtures.
There are multi language/braille brochures available both at Headquarters and the Quarai visitor center.
Oversized vehicle parking is on top of the hill before the gate to enter the park. It is important that oversized vehicles and RVs use this lot and not enter the main parking area because there is no room for turnaround.
Gran Quivira
Enjoy a .75 paved loop trail through the mission and Pueblo of Gran Quivira, also reffered to as Las Humanas. Note: Gran Quivira sits atop a large hill, folks with mobility impairments will encounter natural grades higher than normal. The distance from the parking area to the visitor center, mission, and pueblo are roughly .05 miles from the parking area.
There are mobility impaired accessible restrooms available at the site equpped with large, accommodating stalls with proper handbars and fixtures.
There are multi language/braille brochures available both at Headquarters and the Gran Quivira visitor center.
