San Juan, Puerto Rico- Superintendent Walter J. Chavez announced today that San Juan National Historic Site has issued a request for proposals to develop a new park film. The new park film will be shown daily in the fortifications with a longer version of the film being available for sale in the park bookstores. The park film serves as a useful tool for visitors to the park to learn about the fortifications and the park either as an introduction before they actually begin touring the fortifications or to enhance their experience with more detailed information. This new film will replace an outdated film that was created in the 1990's and will meet the needs of all our visitors.

"We are very excited about completing this film in 2016 in time for the National Park Service's 100th Year Anniversary, which will be celebrated throughout the National Park System next year" said Superintendent Chavez. "We are also very hopeful that local media firms will show interest and submit proposals for this project, including using a local celebrity to provide narration for the film" added Chavez.
Interested firms should check Fed Biz Opps at www.fbo.gov for a copy of the solicitation. The solicitation number is P15PS02750 and the title of the solicitation is San Juan NHS Interpretative Film. The solicitation will provide the details needed for vendors to submit the proposal.

If you have any general questions, you may contact the Superintendent's Office at 787.729.6777 or for technical information on the solicitation or submitting a proposal contact Ms. Celinda Hicks, Contracting Officer at 305.242.7742.
