Devil's Paintbrush, Ragged Robin, Heal-all, Forget-me-not - How did these common plants come by their unusual names?  The Doctrine of Signatures said that Hepatica leaves could cure liver ailments. And who was Queen Anne that made lace?  Discover these and more fascinating stories in "Wildflower Legends and Lore."  This special program will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 10:00 am at Sagamore Hill NHS.  A slide presentation will be followed by a short nature walk to identify some common wildflowers in the field.  In addition, a children's wildflower craft activity will be available from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Theodore Roosevelt held a lifelong interest in nature study, and many prominent naturalists visited him at Sagamore Hill. Step back in time as you walk the same grounds as TR and his family did.
