This image is intended to show Sagamore Hill as it looked in the last years of TR's life. It was created by the Harpers Ferry Center, National Park Service.
These photographs were taken in the interior of the Old Orchard house in 1950s while it was still occupied by Eleanor Alexander Roosevelt, who was the wife of TR, Jr. Old Orchard currently functions as a Museum/Administration building.

Both George Washington and Independence Hall were born in 1732 and both were important in the creation of the United States. Washington was commander in Chief during the war and our first President. Independence Hall hosted the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.
