SAGAMORE HILL TO OFFER FEE-FREE DAY ON TUESDAY JUNE 21 2011

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced that the National Park Service will waive admission fees at Sagamore Hill National Historic Site and the other 393 units of the National Park Service on select dates throughout 2011 including Tuesday, June 21st. "The longest day of the year is the perfect time to take a short trip. Celebrate an extended Father's Day with Dad, the start of summer break with the kids, or a job well done with your favorite graduate," said National Park Service Director Jonathan B. Jarvis. The remaining 2011 fee-free dates are National Public Lands Day (September 24) and the weekend of Veterans Day (November 11-13).

Visitors will still need tickets to tour the Theodore Roosevelt home. Tickets are available only on the same day as the tour at the Visitor Center.Tours are conducted every hour on the hour from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Tours are limited to 14 people. Summer weekends often sell out hours in advance.It is recommended that visitors arrive in the morning to ensure getting on a house tour.
