3rd Grade Field Trip
"Desert Discoveries"

Description:   This one-mile, two-hour field trip explores the plants and animals found in the Sonoran Desert and their special adaptations to desert living. The students also visit the remains of a 1930's homestead along the trail and discover what life was like here 75 years ago.

These programs are offered at the Rincon Mountain District on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from January 1 through the end of March.  The field trips begin at 9:30 a.m. and finish at 11:30 a.m. A classroom pre-visit will be set up at the time of reservation to assist in preparing the students for the field trip. There is no charge for the program and entrance fee waivers are available.

Group Size: 1 - 2 classes (up to 60 students)
