4th Grade Program
"Desert Communities"

Description:  Our two and a half hour field trip introduces students to 1000 years of history at Saguaro National Park. Hands-on activity stations include making petroglyphs, tasting wild foods, doing homesteading chores, and a simulated archeology dig. Activities take place at the Javelina Picnic Area

These programs are offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from January 1 through the end of March. The programs begin at 9:30 a.m. and finish at Noon. A classroom previsit will be set up at the time of reservation to assist in preparing the students for the field trip. There is no charge for the program, and entrance fee waivers are available.

Group size: 1 class (up to 36 students)
