  • Hyde Street Pier Closed Mondays through Thursdays (July 24 - August 20)

    For public safety, Hyde Street Pier will be closed mid-pier Mondays - Thursdays from July 24 - August 20 during replacement of Eureka's mooring piles. There is no access to the historic ships. The visitor center, Maritime Museum & Aquatic Park are open. More »

Fees

A ticket is needed for entrance to the historic vessels on Hyde Street Pier. The cost is $5.00 per person and the ticket is good for seven days. Entrance to the ships is free for supervised children under 16. The ticket booth is located on the pier. Or visit on one of the fee-free days. Reservations

Reservations for school groups, and other educational groups, must be made at least two weeks prior to your visit. Please call 415-561-6662, ext.33 to make a reservation.

Special Use Permits

At least one month's notice and application for Special Use Permits is required. Filming permits are arranged on an individual basis. Please call 415-561-7049 for more information.

Did You Know?

The scow schooner ALMA, with white sails raised, sailing on SF Bay.

ALMA was built in 1891 in a little boatyard on the southernmost bay front of San Francisco, just north of Hunters Point Navy Yard. She mostly worked in the South Bay carrying salt from the southern salt ponds. She has been rebuilt several times and now sails on the Bay often, carrying passengers. More...
