Fees

A ticket is needed for entrance to the historic vessels on Hyde Street Pier. The cost is $5.00 per person and the ticket is good for seven days. Entrance to the ships is free for supervised children under 16. The ticket booth is located on the pier. Or visit on one of the fee-free days. For more information, call the visitor center at 415-447-5000.

Reservations

Reservations for school groups, and other educational groups, must be made at least two weeks prior to your visit. Please call 415-561-6662, ext.33 to make a reservation.

Special Use Permits

At least one month's notice and application for Special Use Permits is required. Filming permits are arranged on an individual basis. Please call 415-561-7049 for more information.

Did You Know?

The last stop and turnaround point for the Powell/Hyde cable car line.

San Francisco Maritime is the only NPS site that has a cable car turnaround adjacent to the park. Riders disembark and workers push the cars around on the track to position them for the next journey back up steep Hyde Street.
