  • Hyde Street Pier Closed Mondays through Thursdays (July 24 - August 20)

    For public safety, Hyde Street Pier will be closed mid-pier Mondays - Thursdays from July 24 - August 20 during replacement of Eureka's mooring piles. There is no access to the historic ships. The visitor center, Maritime Museum & Aquatic Park are open. More »

Experience chanteys, seafaring ballads, and instrumentals aboard a historic ship! San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park proudly enters its 24th year of presenting in concert some of the world's finest performers of traditional sea music. This fall, the park is host to these three concerts.

Saturday, September 15, 8:00pm, KEITH KENDRICK AND SYLVIA NEEDHAM.

On tour from England, Keith and Sylvia present a wide repertoire, strong voices, and striking harmonies.

Saturday, October 20, SHANGHAIED ON THE WILLAMETTE. 

Accompanying themselves on a range of instruments, Jonathan Lay and Gordy Euler sing Celtic, American, and English songs of the sea.

Saturday, November 17, EMERGING PERFORMERS OF SEA MUSIC.

A new generation of traditional music performers emerges in this special concert, featuring the new band Month's Advance, solo singers Jeremy Friedenthal and Miriam Rubenson, and Irish music group The Jammy Dodgers

San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park is located at the west end of Fisherman's Wharf, in San Francisco. Did You Know?

Balclutha at Hyde Street Pier.

The 19th Century sailing ship Balclutha, moored at San Francisco Maritime NHP, carried tons of coal during her career. Coal from Wales and Australia provided fuel for the West Coast's railroads, steamships, factories, businesses and homes.
