Year of the Rabbit!

San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park celebrates the Year of the Rabbit on February 19 with cultural activities, kid's crafts, history, folk music and a chance to see the park's replica Chinese sailing junk Grace Quan decorated for the New Year. The characters on her sail express a wish for "smooth sailing" — a year that will be smooth and free of obstacles, where one's efforts, and one's good fortune, are unimpeded. Join us if you can!


Did You Know?

The exterior of the historic brick buiding that houses the park visitor center.

The brick building that houses the Visitor Center was built in 1908. It was originally constructed as a warehouse for the California Fruit Canners Association. The building was was given Landmark Status in 1975.
