Saturday, May 2, 10-11am, Meet Near the Bocce Ball Courts in SF Maritime NHP. Free.

San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park and the San Francisco Senior Center present the inaugural Healthy Parks, Healthy People Walk, a ranger-guided exploration of the history of San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park and Fort Mason. Thisone-and-a-quarter mile loop is designed to refresh the body and enliven the mind as history and exercise combine on Saturday, May 2 at 10:00am. This free public event is open to all, and no registration is required. Meet near the bocce ball courts. Weather beside the Bay can be quite changeable, so plan accordingly and please remember to bring water.

Healthy Parks Healthy People: Bay Area is a group started by health care providers, park staff, and park partners to help San Francisco Bay Area residents explore the parks near them while improving their mental and physical health.

San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park is located at the west end of Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. The park includes a magnificent fleet of historic ships, Visitor Center, Maritime Museum, Maritime Research Center, and Aquatic Park Historic District. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service in 2016, the park seeks to connect with and create the next generation of park visitors, supporters and advocates and invites visitors to join us in celebrating the Centennial milestone.
