Education & Programs

The Park offers free educational opportunities for students of all ages. Options range from curriculum for the classroom to ranger-led and teacher-led programs. 
 
All groups visiting the Park must make a reservation at least two weeks in advance. Visit Plan A Field Trip to find out more about making a reservation.

Education Reservations:
Reservations are available Tuesday-Friday beginning between 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

Due to staffing, full Ranger-Led tours and programs are not currently being offered, for more information please e-mail us for what is currently provided.

Ranger-led programs:
Park ranger-led programs are free and conducted at 9:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. during the school year and at 10:30 a.m. during the summer. The Park provides standards based curriculum for multiple grade levels. Reservations required.

Teacher-led programs:
Teacher-led programs are free and conducted in the afternoons. Downloadable activities and lesson plans can be facilitated while at the park or in the classroom. Reservations required.

Partner programs:
The San Francisco Maritime National Park Association offers additional fee-based education programs in the Park. Daytime field trips are available. Discover more at www.maritime.org . Scholarships may be available for students.
