Deep-keeled large pond racing yacht model (SAFR 19283) NPS photo Yacht racing comes in all sizes and this model of a deep-keeled racing yacht was designed for races on large ponds. Built in the 1920s, the fine-lined blue-green sloop yacht hull has a deep lead-weighted keel painted red, wood-finished decks, a long bowsprit, and one Dacron headsail. The remainder of her rig, consisting of a mast, gaff, boom, and mainsail, are stored separately. The hull is 74" in length, 16" wide, and 21-1/2" high. |
