Currently no teacher workshops are planned. Working with Riverway partners, the Riverway has hosted workshops in the past and hopes to in the future. The Riverway does offer general programs that may be worthwhile to attend if you have an interest in a topic, or watch for our Guest Speaker series typically held from January to May. Information is posted on our calendar of events.
Under the TRT program, selected teachers spend the summer working as park rangers. They perform various duties depending on their interests and the needs of the park. Then, during the school year, these teacher-rangers bring the parks into the classroom by developing and presenting lesson plans that draw on their ranger experience. St. Croix has hosted TRTs, but does not plan to at this time.
While few books have been written specifically on the St. Croix and Namekagon Rivers there are many books that can help you learn more about this areas history, wildlife and environment.
