There are many ways to support the development of this new National Park in Richmond, California.
Volunteers - We Need You!!
Seeking National Park Docents
Starting in spring 2012, RORI will launch a docent training program to prepare for the opening of our new Visitor Education Center. The primary responsibility of our new cohort of volunteers will be to assist with Visitor Center operations. Each volunteer will required to attend a training program led by NPS staff, prior to commencement of docent responsibilities.
We are looking for people 18 years old or older, with a passion for history, education, and public service (or a willingness to learn!), who can make an ongoing minimum commitment to volunteer at least 8 hours/month. Please contact Lucien Sonder at 510-232-5050 x. 6622 for the training schedule.
The Rosie the Riveter Trust
Our friends group, the Rosie the Riveter Trust, supports the park in many ways including fundraising, sponsoring special events and technical assistance.
