At 7:00 a.m. today, a park staff member on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park discovered a vehicle off of US 34 approximately three-tenths of a mile south of Kawuneeche Visitor Center. The burned vehicle was off the road and there was a deceased person inside.

An investigation is ongoing by the FBI, Rocky Mountain National Park and the Grand County Sheriff’s office. No further information is available at this time.
