Hazard Tree Mitigation Work At Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park
Contact: Kyle Patterson, 970-586-1363
Park staff will be removing hazard trees during the month of April at Sprague Lake as part of ongoing beetle mitigation work. Temporary trail and picnic area closures will be implemented during tree falling operations. Temporary work stoppages can occur, on occasion, to allow hikers and vehicles through.
Mitigation work may also occur along the access corridor to Sprague Lake later in April. Temporary delays may occur at the junction of Sprague Lake and Bear Lake Road during this project. These projects will not take place on weekends.
