Research and discovery in the subarctic and arctic
The Murie Science and Learning Center is part of a national effort to increase the amount of scientific research in the national parks, and thus the effectiveness of science-informed decision making, and to make that science available to the public.
With a facility located in Denali National Park, the Murie Science and Learning Center represents eight of Alaska's arctic and subarctic national parks. The Center is run by National Park Service in partnership with Alaska Geographic and other organizations. Together the Murie partners create science education and research opportunities far richer than NPS could conduct alone.
