Directions

River Raisin National Battlefield Park is located in Monroe and Wayne Counties in Southeastern Lower Michigan.  The Park’s visitor center is 35 miles south of Detroit along the River Raisin in Monroe, Michigan.

By Car:

From the North: Take I-75 take to Exit 15 toward North Dixie Highway. Turn right onto North Dixie Highway and proceed about 1.4 miles. The visitor center is located on the right (west) side of North Dixie Highway.

From the South: Take I-75 to Exit 15 toward North Dixie Highway. Turn left onto North Dixie Highway and proceed about 1.6 miles. The visitor center is located on the right (west) side of North Dixie Highway.

From the West: Take M-50 into Monroe. Continue straight west onto W. Front Street. Continue on W. Front Street and veer slightly right onto E. 1^st Street when W. Front St. turns into a one-way. Turn left onto Monroe Street and cross the River Raisin. After crossing the river, turn right onto Elm Ave. Proceed 0.9 miles to North Dixie Highway. Turn left on North Dixie Highway and the visitor center entrance will be the next drive on the left.

By Air:

The Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW/KDTW) has international and domestic flights to and from Detroit, Michigan. DTW is about 20 miles north of the Park. Take I-275 South from the airport to I-75. Take I-75 South to Exit 15 toward North Dixie Highway. Turn right onto North Dixie Highway and proceed about 1.4 miles. The visitor center is located on the right (west) side of North Dixie Highway.
