Support Your Park
Richmond National Battlefield Park offers internship opportunities for college or graduate level students in different divisions throughout the park.
There are several opportunities for interns interested in history and cultural resources. Duties include running the visitor center, presenting talks or tours, and making sales in the bookstores. Opportunities exist to do historical research with the park historian and curatorial work with the park curator. Interns will also work with school groups to present educational programs.
The Resource Management division also offers internships through the Student Conservation Association (SCA). They assist in a variety of projects including helping to monitor the parks flora and fauna, GIS/GPS work, and water quality testing.
