Ester Dome, near Fairbanks, Alaska
Mountain bikers of any skill level can enjoy this 10-mile system of singletrack loops through the beautiful forests of Ester Dome. The National Park Service Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program provided vital technical assistance on this project, a partnership with Alaska Trails, Goldstream Sports, and many others. The loop system includes a smaller, hand-built inner loop that required tight technical construction, and a number of larger outer loops constructed with mini-mechanized trail equipment. The completed trails offer a wonderful ride for novice or experienced riders.
