1875 House on "Millionaire's Row"

An 1875

Virginia City, Nevada

This one-and-one-half story wood-frame house in Virginia City, NV, was constructed circa 1875 after a fire devastated a large portion of the city. An upper-middle-class home built on “Millionaire’s Row,” the property is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Comstock Historic District. The building recently underwent a rehabilitation inside and out as part of a conversion for use as a bed and breakfast. On the exterior, the owners repaired the historic woodwork and windows, repaired doors, and installed a new roof. Interior work included replacing outdated electrical and plumbing systems, repairing wood floors and trim, and partitioning the attic to accommodate guest bedrooms. The HGTV channel featured the property in its program “If Walls Could Talk.”
