The Discover Glacier Education program had a fall education intern and two winter education interns working with school groups this school year. The interns get on-the-job experience working with the park's education program. They receive park housing and a stipend. This program is made possible from  partnerships. One of them is with the University of Montana through a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit Agreement established with a Youth Partnership Program Grant. University students are required to complete an internship for their undergraduate degrees. They work with the park's winter ecology education programs to lead snowshoe hikes for visiting school groups. In addition, the Glacier National Park Fund supports education programs with funding to cover housing and stipends for student interns to work with the education programs the park offers in the spring and fall.
