Denali celebrates the first ever Denali Music Festival in partnership with the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival and the Denali Arts and Humanities Alliance. Spanning the course of two weeks, visitors and community members listened, participated, created and embraced the music of Denali. Highlights included a performance at the Denali Visitor Center of the original composition Denali by Composer Stephen Lias, who resided at the park in 2011, a tour of the park with students from the Denali-Nenana Borough Chamber Choir  and string orchestra members culminating in a collaborative performance at the Eielson Visitor Center, and a composition field course: in which nine composers from around the world worked with composer Stephen Lias and park researcher Davyd Betchkyl to create nine original compositions based upon the soundscapes of Denali, later performed in Fairbanks. Partnerships include the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, Denali Arts and Humanities Alliance: Denali National Park and Preserve, Denali Education Center, Denali Borough School District, Kids in Motion, Alaska Geographic, 49th State Brewing Company, Alaska Airlines, Denali Princess, and Doyon-Aramak/ Joint Venture.
