Two hundred and five pre-school, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth grade students participated in several activities during fall field trips to the monument, and fifty two second grade students were visited in their classrooms. The fossilization game, fossil relay, fossil preparation demonstrations and ranger led tours and hikes introduced these students to the amazing fossil story told here.
